Niina Marni my sisters and brothers,
In these very uncertain times with COVID-19 across the world, we at the WIPCE2020 Organising Committee has made the very sad but necessary decision to officially postpone WIPCE2020 to the 1st – 5th November 2021.
It is with very heavy hearts and regret that we make this decision, but given the global health crises at this time, we feel it is in the best interests of our delegates to move the conference date.
The health and well-being of our communities and especially our Elders is of paramount importance to us and our future generations. In order to safe guard the community we have taken this decision in consultation with Health advice.
Our sincere apologies for the difficulties that this postponement may cause.
We would like to thank our WIPCE Committees, communities, sponsors, Elders, volunteers, delegates and presenters for walking this journey with us and we look forward to seeing you in 2021.
To those that have already registered, your registrations will be valid for the WIPCE2021 conference.
To those who have submitted abstracts, we will be continuing with the abstract process and work on delivering to our delegates, an outstanding program.
On behalf of the WIPCE2021 Organising Committee, I invite you to join us as we share our cultures, knowledges and lived experiences. We will celebrate our cultural resilience and connectedness as global Indigenous citizens of humanity.
WIPCE2021 will be held at the Adelaide Convention Centre, Adelaide, Australia on 1-5 November 2021.
For any enquiries you have, please contact our conference organizing team at All Occasions Group. We look forward to sharing this time with you, our sisters and brothers from around the world and welcoming you to Australia, our island home.
We send our love to communities affected by the pandemic at this time. Be safe everyone and take care of yourselves and your communities.
Yours in unity
